Eli Walker - Lake Placid
Eli was a double gold medal winner at Saratoga he was a member of the winning relay tam along with Darrell Rikert. He then won the mass start race by a whisker over Keith Woodward. Eli hit 22 out of 25 targets during both races.

Event: Times have been set for the NYBCs, registration will open at 8:00 AM, zero at 9:00 AM, and start at 10:00 AM both days. Harris Lodging in Sandy Creek has space reserved for biathletes, the rate is $35 per night per person. 3-3-08

ESG Qualified Athletes: The list of athletes who have qualified to compete in the Empire State Games has been posted. Follow this link to see if you qualified, and for information on how to register. Registration for the ESGs will be open until 8:00 PM on February 12th. 2-3-08
Race Added: The Saratoga Biathlon Club has added another race to the schedule. They will be hosting a mass start race on Sunday March 2nd. More information on this event will be posted by the end of the week. 2-3-08

Race Cancelled: The Western NY race scheduled for February 3rd has been cancelled. 2-1-08
Event: As of this morning there is very little snow on our race course. There is a Winter Storm Watch posted for this area through Friday evening. If we do not receive significant snowfall we will cancel the race. A final decision on whether to hold the race will be posted no later than 6 p.m. on Friday, February 1. 2-1-08

Race Postponed: Due to a lack of snow in the Rochester area, the Western New York Biathlon scheduled for Sunday, January 27 has been postponed until February 3rd. The event will be at the same location (Rochester Brooks Gun Club) and at the same time. 1-23-08

Rules Change: The state biathlon committee has determined that all athletes will receive marksmanship points in qualifying races. They also set February 1st as the deadline to join NYSSRA by in order to compete in the Empire State Games. Join online here. 1-22-08

Race Cancelled: The race scheduled for Salmon Hills on Sunday has been cancelled. 1-11-08
Event: A final decision on the race at Salmon Hills will be made on Friday 1/11. Currently there is enough snow to hold the event, but unfortunately there is a major rain event forecast. Check back tomorrow night for the final decision. 1-10-08
