Biathlete of the Week
Rick Costanza - Lake Placid - February 15, 2009
While Rick did not compete, he did ensure that an excellent weekend of racing took place at Lake Placid. Rick and many other volunteers spent hours shoveling snow into the range.
Sean Doherty - Saratoga - February 2, 2009
Sean competed as a thirteen year old in the seniors men's class at Saratoga. He placed second in both races, including finishing only three seconds behind the winner in the sprint. We don't have a photo of Sean (he's too fast!)
Jason Hettenbaugh - Western - January 19, 2009
Jason won both the sprint at Salmon Hills and the pursuit at Osceola this past weekend.
Eris Seyse - Saratoga - January 12, 2009
Eric had the fastest time of the day and tied for the best shooting on his way to his first career victory in the Senior Men's class.
Melissa Manning - Western - December 22, 2008
Melissa traveled from Buffalo in the storm to compete in her first biathlon race ever. She ht three targets on her way to winning the Girls division. Unfortunately we don't have a photo of Melissa yet.
Erin Graham - Western - February 25, 2008
Erin won two gold medals at the Empire State Games. She hit 9 out of 10 targets in the sprint race, and 15 out of 20 in the pursuit race.
Jason Hettenbaugh - Western - February 11, 2008
Jason was the top NYSSRA athlete at the Vermont Nor-AM. He had a 7th place finish in the sprint while hitting eight targets.
Pat Clancy - Saratoga - February 4, 2008
Pat was the only competitor to record a clean shooting stage at the Old Forge race. He was also the fastest skier on the day.
Christian A. Borger - Saratoga - January 28, 2008
Christian, a youth competitor, raced the long course at the Osceola Individual relay. He had the fastest time, beating all of the senior and master men.

Walker - Lake Placid - January 21, 2008
Eli hit 19 out of 20 targets on his way to victory in the pursuit race at Saratoga. He was over three minutes ahead of his closest competition.

Harde - Saratoga - January 7, 2008
Rene finished third and second overall in the two races at Osceola. Hitting 20 out of 30 targets during the weekend.
